The SPCC MGA exists to create camaraderie amongst fellow male members by generating activities at Sparrows Point C.C. These activities would include golf tournaments, poker tournaments, a dart league, golf trips, sporting events, and social functions such as an annual bull roast, casino nights, etc.

Establishing a "Men's Club" within the "Club" enhances the use of the facility for all seasons. Having activities will create the urge for members to use the club more often and enhance the possibly of members stopping by for the "spontaneous drink" or "see who is at the club"? By and large as the "Men's Club" grows it will create the cohesiveness needed to carry the "Club" utilizing our treasury to pursue capital improvements at Sparrows Point Country Club. We will also support the junior golf program by donating a portion of our annual dues to junior golf. We encourage you to join today to further enjoy the "Club".

Tee Times to begin around 8:00 AM Modified Shotgun
$30 Prize fund to be paid by the losing team to the winning team.
$10 Prize fund to be paid by the loser of the match to the winner.
Optional $10 clears (NET and GROSS).

Sign up with GOLF GENIUS or at the PRO SHOP. Sign up ends on Thursday, October 17th. Ryder
Cup teams (Red and Blue) will be drawn that evening by the 2 lowest handicaps
playing.

  • RYDER CUP Match Play Format (singles matches only)
  • Play and handicap will be from White or Orange (your discretion) tees at 90%
    Handicap.
  • Purple tees can be played if your age and handicap exceed 85.
  • Gold tees can be played if your age and handicap exceed 100.
  • Play will be off the lowest handicap in each match.
  • Two LOWEST handicap players present at team selection on 8/15 will be Team
    Captains.
  • Captains will select team based on final sign up sheet
  • Captains will determine pairings/opponents.
  • 3 point per singles match --- FRONT, BACK and TOTAL
  • Team with most accumulated points wins
  • Gimmies are allowed in this format.
  • Score cards must be exchanged
